Johnny Russell
Johnny is a Texan through and through. He loves spending time with his family, being outdoors, riding bikes, hunting, camping, and organizing just about anything he can get his hands on.
He graduated from Stephen F. Austin State University in 1999 and spent the next 25 years with Young Life. He served in several roles, including Area Director, Associate Regional Director, and Campaign Director for LoneHollow Ranch in Utopia, Texas, where he worked until 2024.
Johnny’s wife and their four children are at the heart of his life. They love making memories together on bike rides, camping trips, and ordinary days at home.
After 25 years in youth ministry, development, and fundraising, Johnny sensed Jesus redirecting him toward adults in his community. He joined Search to build relationships, earn the right to be heard, and make room for conversations about life and God.
