Search came to Charlotte in 1992, when Davis and Valerie Kuykendall began building relationships across the city and inviting adults into honest conversations about life, faith, purpose, and God.

That same relational approach continues today. Search Charlotte creates opportunities for people to ask thoughtful questions, explore what they believe, and consider a next step toward God without pressure to have everything settled first.

For more than three decades, Search Charlotte has grown through friendships, community connections, and a team approach to ministry. Along the way, Search has built relationships with organizations such as Joe Gibbs Racing, Coca-Cola Consolidated, Beacon Partners, the YMCA of Greater Charlotte, Young Life, the Charlotte Leadership Forum, and local churches.

Those connections reflect how Search works. Conversations grow out of real relationships, shared experiences, workplaces, neighborhoods, and everyday life.

Today, an engaged Local Leadership Board and growing staff continue that work across the Charlotte area.
