Other Ways to Give

  • Donor Advised Fund grants cannot be used for contributions that provide goods, services, or other benefits to the donor, such as golf tournament participation, event tickets, or table sponsorships.

    To recommend a gift from your Donor Advised Fund, please provide the following:

    Charity: Search Ministries    Tax ID: 75-1627393

    Purpose: Each DAF has different language for designating the purpose of your grant. Look for these or similar options:

    • Fidelity: “Create Your Own”
    • Vanguard: “Custom Purpose”
    • Schwab/DAFgiving360: “I have a purpose”
    • National Christian Fund: “Give special instructions to the charity,” then select “Other”

  • If you are age 70½ or older, you may be eligible to make a Qualified Charitable Distribution (QCD) directly from your IRA to Search Ministries. A QCD may count toward your required minimum distribution and may be excluded from taxable income.

    Please note: Qualified Charitable Distributions (QCDs) cannot be used for contributions that provide goods, services, or other benefits to the donor, such as golf tournament participation, event tickets, or table sponsorships.

    When requesting a gift from your IRA, please provide your IRA custodian with the following:

    Organization: Search Ministries
    Designation: Search [City Name] or [Staff Member’s Name]

    Please ask your IRA custodian to include your name and gift designation with the distribution.

    • Ticker symbol(s) and number of shares
    • Approximate date the shares will be transferred
    • Your name and contact information
    • Which Search city/staff person your gift is intended to support

  • When possible, we encourage you to consider using our online giving option [link to online giving section] to avoid postal delays or lost mail. If you are mailing a significant gift, we recommend using a trackable delivery service and sending it to our Home Office address below.
