Who Is Your One?

The mission becomes personal when it has a name.

For fifty years, Search has helped adults take a next step toward God through genuine relationships and honest conversation. That mission continues through people who are willing to notice, pray, listen, and take one faithful step toward someone they care about.

Who Is Your One? is a simple invitation to identify one person in your life and pray about their next step toward God.

You do not need to force a conversation or have all the answers. Begin with one person, one relationship, and one prayerful step.

Start With One Name

Think about the people God has already placed in your life.

A friend
A neighbor
A coworker
A family member
Someone you see regularly but have not yet engaged deeply

Who comes to mind?

Two women sitting in a coffee house talking and drinking coffee.

A Simple Way to Begin

  • 1. Pray

Ask God to give you love, patience, and wisdom for this person

  • 2. Listen

Pay attention to what they care about, what questions they are asking, and where they may be open to deeper conversation.

  • 3. Take One Step

Invite them to coffee. Share a song, podcast, or resource. Ask a thoughtful question. Offer to talk. Keep it simple and relational.

You are not responsible for the results. A person’s spiritual journey is a process. God is responsible for the results. Our responsibility is the relationship. That means you can trust God and not worry, be patient and not push, be active and not quit.

We’d love to join you in praying for your one.

Who is the person God has placed on your heart? Share their name with us, and our team at Search will be praying for them. We will ask God to help them experience genuine friendship, feel seen and cared for, and have space to explore their questions about life, faith, purpose, and God.

Just their name or even initials is enough.
