Maddox Womble

Maddox family 2 2

Maddox was born and raised in Dallas, graduated from The University of Mississippi in 2007 and pursued a career in oil and gas that concluded in February 2022 when he decided to jump from the corporate world to nonprofit. Two years prior to joining Search in August 2024, Maddox oversaw development efforts in Texas for an amazing organization based in Tampa, FL called Family First and helped raise money for their two national programs, All Pro Dad and iMOM. Maddox and his wife Natalie married in 2014 and have two children, Lilly and Will.

Maddox has been a lifelong member at Highland Park Presbyterian Church where he continues to serve as a deacon since 2020 and enjoys grilling, live music, spending time on the lake, throwing the frisbee, and traveling. Maddox never leaves home without his portable Bose speaker and his favorite book (not counting the Bible) is My Utmost For His Highest by Oswald Chambers.

Why did you choose to join Search? After experiencing an Open Forum myself, I realized how badly today’s culture needs the unique environment Search creates. I wanted to be part of Search’s mission of “inviting adults to take a next step towards God”. Everyone has a point of view and a story to tell, but they don’t always have a place to share them without being judged. That’s where Search comes in! I know this because that was me back in 2017 until the Holy Spirit changed everything (and I’ll gladly tell you that story). It’s now become clear that encouraging others on their faith journey to wrestle with life’s big questions and shining the light of Jesus Christ into the darkness of this broken and hurting world was what I was meant to do.
