Johnny Russell

Johnny, a true Texan through and through, loves all things family, outdoors, bike rides, hunting, camping and organizing pretty much anything he can get his hands on! Johnny graduated from Stephen F. Austin State University in 1999 and embarked on a career with Young Life. Johnny served in several roles with Young Life, including Area Director, Associate Regional Director, and Campaign Director for LoneHollow Ranch in Utopia, Texas, where he dedicated his time until 2024. Johnny's heart is devoted to his family—his wife, Taylor, and their four children: Finley, Gideon, Canaan, and Judah. Together, they create cherished memories through bike rides, camping adventures, and quality time at home.

Why did you choose to join Search? After 25 years in youth ministry, development, and fundraising, Jesus redirected my assignment to disciple adults in my community.
