John Ransom

John joined the Search staff full-time in April 2019. Originally from Longview, Washington, John attended Lee University at Charlotte, where he earned a BS in Christian Education and Pastoral Ministries. While at school in Charlotte, he met his wife, Melissa. John has served in ministry for more than 30 years, most of those within the local church. His most recent ministry role was a church plant in Columbus, Ohio, that he co-founded in 2011.

Why did you choose to join Search? Search’s relational approach to sharing Jesus is what drew me to the ministry. I have always had a strong call to a relational type of ministry where, through authentic relationships, you discover the true meaning of life. During the time that I have been with Search, I have realized our mission is what I have been passionate about all the way back to when I was 13.
