Brian Wetherholt

Brian is a Georgia native living in Birmingham, Alabama.  He graduated from Berry College where he first met his lovely bride, Kelly.  He has an MA in Christian Apologetics from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. Brian and Kelly have two sons in high school who love football, starting small businesses, and giving their parents opportunities to clean up the house. Brian loves fishing, backpacking, and using YouTube to tackle DIY projects that he probably should have just hired a professional to do.

Brian’s life was changed by Young Life leaders who showed him Jesus and discipled him during his high school years.  That experience led him to join Young Life staff where he served for 8 years. Finally, Brian served in various churches as he continued to pursue his passion for teaching and building meaningful relationships.

Why did you choose to join Search? I was blessed to have people care about me with no strings attached. They gave me a safe place to ask life’s big questions and be honest about my doubts.  I believe that God’s purpose for my life is to provide that same opportunity for others. Search is all about building authentic relationships and opening doors for people to experience those opportunities.
