Bill Kraftson
For over 45 years, Bill Kraftson has enjoyed the privilege of facilitating hundreds of large and small group discussions as well as interacting with countless individuals on the “life and God” issues that matter most to all of us, starting with questions like: Where did we come from? Why are we here? How should we live? What happens when we die? Is there a God—and how do we know? If there’s a loving God, why would He let bad things happen to good people? What about the intolerance and hypocrisy of religion? How good does one have to be to get to heaven? Bill loves the close, personal relationships that frequently emerge from these vigorous, but respectful, intellectual exchanges. In keeping with that passion, he and Lamar Smith produced a series of audio dialogues on these same faith questions, “The Search for Meaning,” now available as a podcast. Bill earned a B.A. from Wheaton College and a Th.M. from Dallas Theological Seminary, and in 1977, he helped found Search. He and his wife, Janet, have lived in Fort Worth since 1974. They have three grown, married children and six grandchildren.
